How to search for a product on Shopify
Step 1: Choose Products
Firstly, you need to login in your Shopify account. From the Shopify admin screen, choose the Products section. In this section, you can view all the products that you have added before.
Step 2: Search product
Above the product list, you will see a filed which is labeled as Search products. In this field, you will enter the titles, descriptions, or tags of the product that you want to find. After that Shopify’s product list will refresh automatically and only the products which have details match the words you have entered will appear.
To search for a product on iPhone
Step 1: Tap All products
Open your Shopify app on your phone, then tap the All products section which is inside the Products section. And from this page you can view your product list.
Step 2: Tap search button
When you see the search button, tap on it
Step 3: Search
You will need to enter some keywords about the titles, descriptions, or tags of the product that you want to find.
Step 4: Result
Once you have finished adding the details, Shopify will help you to find the products whose titles, descriptions or tags include the word you have just entered. Then these products will be displayed in a list which is right under the search bar.
- You can select a product and view its details by taping the name of it.
- If you want to delete all the words that you have entered in the search bar at the same time, you can click the
xbutton. After having deleted them, you can enter a new search term. - In case you want to stop the searching process, you can always click the
Cancelbutton to return to the previous screen.
To search for a product on Android
Step 1:
After opening your Shopify app on your phone, click the All products section which is inside the Products section to view your product list.
Step 2: Tap search button
Once you saw the search button, tap on it.
Step 3: Search
You will need to enter some words which are included in the titles, descriptions, or tags of the product that you want to find. Or if your product has a barcode, you can tap the barcode icon, and your phone’s camera will scan it.
Step 4: Result
Once you have finished adding the details, Shopify will help you to find the products. These products will then be displayed in a list which is right below the location of the search bar.
- By taping the name of a product, you can select and view its details.
- You can click the
xbutton if you want to delete the search term that you have entered in the search bar. After deleting it, you can enter a new one. - When you want to cancel the searching process, you can always click the
back arrowto return to the Products screen.
