In addition to the usual way to add products to a manual collection which are through the Collection section, you can now also add a product to existing collections from its details page. This way might help you to save a considerable amount of time because you can add a specific product to various manual collections.

How to add a product to existing collections from its details page

Step 1: Open Product section

After having login in your Shopify account, select the Products section.

Step 2: Choose a product

Here, you can view all of the products which you have created before. Afterward, select the one which you want to add in the manual collections by clicking on the name of it.

Step 3: Add product to a collection

From the product details page, scroll down, and you will see the Collections section on your right-hand side. In the search box, you can enter the name of the collection in which this product will be included. You can select only one collection or more than one if you feel that it is necessary. And if you want to choose that collection anymore, you can uncheck it.

Step 4: Click Save

Finally, the last thing that you will need to do to finish adding this product to some collections is to click the Save button.

  • Step 1: You first need to open the Shopify app. As soon as you tap Products, tap the All products to view your product list.

  • Step 2: Once you have decided the product which will be added to a collection, tap the name of that product to select it.

  • Step 3: Under Sales channels and Organization is the Collections section. You then need to tap on it.

  • Step 4: In the Collections screen, you can check the collection which you want to add your product. The is a note that you are not allowed to tick the automatic collection, you can only check the manual collections. You can choose more than one collection and uncheck them if you want.

  • Step 5: To return the products details screen, tap the back button.

  • Step 6: Lastly, you need to tap the Save button to save your process.

  • Step 1: Open your Shopify app. Then, tap Products, and tap the All products to view your products
