Running a successful Shopify store involves much more than just listing products. It requires efficient access and management, whether you’re the shop owner, a staff member, or a Shopify Partner. But have you ever encountered a pesky login error or struggled to access a client’s store.
This comprehensive guide unlocks the secrets to seamless Shopify login for everyone and troubleshoot common login problems, ensuring you can focus on what truly matters: Growing your business.
Four main types of Shopify login
Admin Login
This is the main entry point for store owners and staff to manage their Shopify store. It grants access to the Shopify admin dashboard, where you can control everything from adding products and processing orders to customizing your store.
Note: When logging in, you’ll need your store’s unique URL or the email address associated with your Shopify account, along with your password.
Partner Login
Designed for agencies, freelancers, and developers who work with multiple Shopify stores, the Partner Login provides access to the Partner Dashboard. This specialized interface allows you to manage client stores, create development stores, and access Shopify’s Partner resources and support. To log in, you’ll need the email address and password associated with your Shopify Partner account.
Customer Login
This login is for shoppers who want to create accounts on your Shopify store. It allows them to save their shipping and billing information for faster checkout, view their order history and track shipments. Customers can log in using their email address and password or through social media accounts like Google or Facebook, depending on your store’s settings.
Affiliate Login
Shopify Affiliate login is a specific access point for members of Shopify’s Affiliate Program. It allows them to track their referrals, monitor commissions, and access promotional resources to effectively market Shopify to their audience.

Step 1 - Log in to one store: Simply head to your Shopify admin dashboard for any of your stores.
Step 2 - Switch stores with a click: See your store’s name at the top left. Click it, and a list of your other stores will drop down.
Step 3 - Jump to another store: Choose the store you want to work on, and like magic, you’re there! There will be active and Inactive stores, so remember to check regularly to make sure you get them covered.
