How to add a new products using Shopify POS
Step 1: Proceed to the Shopify POS
Log in to your Shopify account → Sales channels → Point of Sale.
Step 2: Go to the Products Section
Tap the “Add products” button to proceed to the Products section.
Step 3: Enter Product Details
To add the products to your Shopify POS, remember to fill in all of the required information fields as below:
- Title: Give your product a clear and descriptive name.
- Description: The brief description to show what is the product, what does it do, etc.
- Media: Take a photo or upload an image to showcase the product.
- Category: Classify the product and put it into one of the categories of your store.
- Price: Set the selling price for your product.
- Compare at Price (optional): Enter the original price if you’re offering a discount.
- Cost per item (optional): Enter the cost of the product to track your profit margins.
- Inventory: Specify the initial stock quantity or leave it at 0 if you’re not tracking inventory.
- Barcode (optional): Scan or enter the product’s barcode for easier inventory management.
- Variants (optional): Add variants if your product comes in different sizes, colors, or other options.
Step 4: Save the Product
Once you’ve filled out the details, tap the “Save” button at the top right corner. Your new product will now be added to your Shopify inventory and available for sale in your POS app!
